Broad Branch Farm - Location and Directions

From: Peoria | Wyoming | Bradford | Lacon | Naperville

From Peoria

On Rt. 40:
Take Rt. 40 or Knoxville Avenue north out of Peoria. From the Kroger store located just off Route 40 in northern Peoria, you will travel 16 miles until you reach Tanner’s Orchard. At Tanner’s Orchard is an intersection of 750 North or North Valley Rd. and Route 17. You will turn left onto 750 North, cross railroad tracks, and travel 1 mile to the next crossroad. Turn right onto 1700 East. Travel 1 mile to the next crossroad and turn left onto 500 North. We are the second 2-story farm house located on the left side of the road. Our mailbox reads ‘44’.

On Rt.91:
Travel north on Rt. 91 through Dunlap and continue north until you reach the intersection of Rt.91 and Rt. 90. At this intersection, you will go under a viaduct for the railroad and immediately turn right onto N. Holmes Road. Continue north for approximately 4 miles until you reach a stop sign at South Valley Road. Turn right and travel 1 mile to the next crossroad. Turn left onto 1700 East. Travel 3 miles north until you reach a stop sign. Continue north on 1700 East another mile to the next crossroad. Turn left onto 500 North. We are the second 2-story farm house located on the left side of the road. Our mailbox reads ‘44’.

From Wyoming:

Travel east out of Wyoming on Rt. 17. Travel approximately 4 miles to 1500 East. This road is located just 1/8th of a mile past Rumbold Grain Elevator. Turn right onto 1500 East and travel 2 miles south to the second crossroad. Turn left onto 500 North. We are the first 2-story white farmhouse on the right side of the road. Our mailbox says ‘44’.

From Bradford:

Travel south out of Bradford on Rt. 40. Continue until you reach a stop sign at the intersection of Rt. 40 and Rt. 17. Cross Rt. 17 and continue south on 1700 East. Travel two miles to the second crossroad 500 North. Turn right onto 500 North. We are the second 2-story white farmhouse located on the left hand side of the road. Our mailbox says ‘44’.

From Lacon:

Travel west on Rt. 17 until you reach the intersection of Rt. 17 and Rt. 40. Continue west on North Valley Road or 750 North. Cross railroad tracks, and travel 1 mile to the next crossroad. Turn right onto 1700 East. Travel 1 mile to the next crossroad and turn left onto 500 North. We are the second 2-story farm house located on the left side of the road. Our mailbox reads ‘44’.

From Naperville

Driving time from Naperville to the farm will be about 2 ½ hours without stops.

Beginning at the intersection of Interstates 80 and 55, head West until you reach Exit #45. This exit is for Route 40 and you want to head South. You will pass through a small town called Buda. Continue South until you reach a ‘T’ in the road where Route 40 continues to the left or East. Follow Route 40 into the town of Bradford until you reach the 4 way stop. Follow Rt. 40 South out of town until you reach the next stop sign about 6-7 miles down the road. At the stop sign, you will continue South or straight and you will now be driving on an unlined country road. Continue past the first crossroad. At the second crossroad look for a sign that says 500 North Avenue. Turn Right or West. This is our road. We are the SECOND 2 story farm house on the left. The mailbox says ‘44’.
